We are Samira and Maurits, a professional researcher and photographer who share a love for travelling!
Creating this website has been a long-cherished dream of ours. With How We Travelled, we hope to be a source of inspiration and information for fellow travel enthusiasts. We aim to do this by sharing our passion and travel experiences with you in the form of free travel guides and stories.
From how our travel plans come together to the final outcome – you’ll find practical travel tips on visiting cultural and natural highlights, hidden gems, photography, accommodation, and food and drink.
Our passion for travel goes far beyond simply chasing the sunshine. It’s about much more than that – the food, the people, the history, the wildlife, and all the other elements that make a culture or natural environment so different from what we know at home.
